I've had my frankencar intake and apex'i air filter for about 10 months now and everythings been fine up to now. Here's my problem, when i'm in first gear (or any gear) and I rev all the way up to 3k-4k it has the nice roaring sound its always been having but once i hit past 4k the noise stops and turns into this annoying higher pitched weezing sound. It seems like it wants to take in more air but it cant. It use to roar all the way untill the redline. I checked the air filter and it's fine but is it time for me to take the intake apart and do a full cleaning?

Also, a month ago I got the 0302 ecu code: EGR System Hi/Low Flow and i reset it a couple times and it went away and never came back, would this have anything to do with it? thanks

 

You may have a leak somewhere or the filter is dirty. Check the hoses and stuff cause that usually fixes 90% of all intake problems. If you already did then I'm not sure...
