Primer

Would you ever buy a maxima that was all primered instead of painted? I know it would decrease the value of the car but just curious to see what you would say about it.

Hell yeah! Then I could have it painted Concord Mist. It'll just be one less step for the body shop to do and charge me for.

Well lets say the car is worth 6000....how much would the cost decrease if I were to sell it primered instead of painted?

I'd probably try to take off about a grand if I was trying to buy it from you.

only if it had 2 or 3 coats of shiny clear coat on it. Always thought that would be a cool color to have. Kinda like Sylvester Stallone in Cobra.

Also, you would lose about $1500 since a paint job would be inorder. My recommendation..... better get Macco. easy $500 paint job.

Nah, no maaco.....I can do a better job myself. Not only that, its my car so I'll be a perfectionist, taking off moldings, spraying under striping. I can get really good paint for cheap too so it all works out. Maaco don't care about your car...

Well, I have right now Black mettalic (kinda looks dark grey) ....and the outer paint is in horrible condition. so I plan on stripping the outside by sanding down to primer, reprimer and painting the outside jet black. And I plan on fixing some dime size dimples in some panels while im at it
