Since i guess no one knows the answer to this question, is it possible to mix and match a pressure plate with a disc.

I have the Sachs kit in now, but i want more bite. It is fairly new, but sometimes on downshifts, there is slippage. Can i just purchase a OEM disc and retain the Sachs pressure plate??? Or is that a no-no?
