I have noticed there was a high pitched whinning coming out from under the car in the y-pipe section after I got back from driving for 2 hours. I have no aftermarket exhaust or intake so it can't be that. Should I be worried about this noise?

Give more details if possible such as
Did it change in pitch with the motor?
Is it a constant noise?
Are you saying it,s coming from under the car or can you hear it from under the hood?
Do you hear it while driving as well as at a dead stop?
Answers to these plus any other info will help out a great deal.

I have a squeeling noise from the drive pully area. Is this where your sound is comming from. So far have eliminated belts, waterpump (listened with mechanics stethoscope noise is not coming from there). I am going to check the time chain next. If it is the prob, I will let you know.

I know you stated that the belts were not the cause but did you happen to start the motor with out the belts installed or with one belt on at a time? I,m just telling you this just in case you did not try this. I find it hard to beleive that your timing chain would be causing this noise especially since it sits (sort of) in oil. Hope this helps you out. Unless the chain guides are broke then I would think that you would notice a difference in performance.
