Will 255/50/17 tires fit?

the 50's are too tall if you want cornering performance. a lower profile tire will provide less sidewall tire flex and improve cornering. i have 235x45x17 now which is what stillen runs. i had my suspension guy cut the intrax springs a tad to lower my vehicle another inch. it sits perfectly now. it still maintains the same ride quality and with the addition of some new tokikos all the way around it drives like a slot car. i will be moving up to 235x40x18 very shortly for better cornering and to fill up the whell well a bit more.

255/50-17 is going to throw a lot of things out of whack.
1) your speedometer will be off by nearly 7%, this means your odo will too. general run is +/- 2% to 3%
2) it will be very heavy, hurts performance and handling
3) gearing will be off, hurts performance.
4) you will more than likely rub
5) 7.5" rims are way too thin for 255 tires. For reference I run 205 on 7" rims... and 215 is max on 7".
Over all, it won't look good, will perform poorly, and will handle poorly... not recommended.
