ACT Clutch In

ACT Clutch In

I finally got my ACT cluch put in!!!!! and what can I say WOW!!!! this clutch catches sick I can can get a churp in 4th gear, Im gonna take it easy cause I was reading up on the forums that I could mess up my tranny,

ummm, yep. you could really mess it up like that. Just out of curiosity, how many miles did you put on it before "churping 4th"? I learned that the hard way. Went thru 2 additional clutch discs before learning to break in the clutch.

too late man. Once you drive it hard once, just forget about it. The "point of breaking it in" is to insure the life and quality of your clutch disc , making sure it gets worn in even. Don't even worry about breaking it in anymore since you already got on it and churped 4th.

So whats gonna happen my clutch is gonna mess up? If it was really important bout breaking it in why did my mechanic, or stillen tell me this???

this is why people are always b!tching about how the ACT clutch sucks, well half the time the install was done wrong and the other is that they didn’t break it in long enough. I waited over 1000 miles before i ripped it and that’s only once in a while.

because you will have to pay for a new one and pay for the labor again.

5000mi before shifting hard or above 4k. hard to hold back, but worth it.

Just take it easy from now on. If it's working okay now, you will most likely be fine.

It's 500-ish miles. It doesn't take 6 months to break in a clutch

5000 cuz i drive a lot of highway, so clutch doesn't get a workout. Basically waited a full oil change, + some
