Muffled noise when coming out of right turns

Hey all. I've been pretty busy, but I narrowed down the problem that I was having. Earlier, I described the noise as a whooping sound, I was wrong. It's kind of like a muffled sound that seems to be from the exhaust. It's mostly noticeable when I accelerate out of a right turn. I changed the spark plugs, cleaned the TB, and changed the PCV, and there's no CEL. The acceleration is fine. I have a budget y-pipe. Could it be the flex section? I remember that the guy who installed the y-pipe removed the heatsheild. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Problem solved! I took the max to the place where I got the budget y-pipe installed a year ago. It turns out that I had to cracked welds in the y-pipe. The mechanic fixed that, noise gone. While I was there I asked for a b-pipe without resonator. The improvement in acceleration was great, but the exhaust was too loud! Went back today and got a resonator. I think my setup is perfect. It's just a releif to know that it was only something as small as that and nothing more. Thank you Jesus!

glad you fixed your problem! it's always a good feeling.

how much did he charge you to fix that? hopefully not too much.

so you'd recomend getting a b pipe then? i have a budget y with resonator cuz i hated the noise it did with my muffler but haven't even considered b-pipe. how much did that go for if you don't mind me asking...

It's $153 total including tax and labor over the two days. He charged like $10 to fix the welds. The b-pipe without resonator on the first day was $75 total. The next day I decided to get the resonator for $48 total. The labor and hangers, not to mention the fact that he hooked me up with a high-end resonator, and guaranteed workmanship for about $20. I'm a happy camper.
