ok, this has been going on for about a month, but i just remembered to post it.
I have my GC's dropped all the way, and the spring is rubbing the threaded sleeve and wearing both the inside of the spring and the threads on the sleeve, on both passanger and driver side (front only). only happenes when i hit just-larger-than-average bumps and mostly when i have the wheel turned. seems like the spring is not straight. could this be because the stock perch (yes, stock struts... i am a poor college student) is angles and is holding the spring and coil on an angle? any suggestion would be great about things i could look at to try and fix this. Also, when i hit some bumps, the top hats drop down then hit back up again, any way to prevent this? .... besides raising my car up? thank you for any input

nope, it's cause 1) the kit really wasn't designed to drop that low and 2) your stock struts are completely blown and have absolutely no damping control... so when you hit a bump, it compresses fully.... suspension geometry is completely messed up and rubbing occurs.

so...

So will the problem be solved when I install my Koni's? why do they make the kit drop so much if it was not designed for that? it makes no sense to me...
thank you for the reply by the way

You probably dropped the car too low. Keep in mind that the sleeve itself has to sit on the perch, not the threaded collar. If you drop the threaded collar all the way, that will sit on the perch and cause it to not be straight. I almost made the same mistake with my ground controls.

no, i didnt drop the coil that far. i made sure of that. the treaded sleve rests on the perch, not the collar at all.
