ypipe "gurgling" ??

i just had a budget ypipe installed today and i get a good deal of "gurgling" from it....is this normal?

i thought these things were supposed to be virtually silent except for maybe a small hiss at high rpm or something like that...i get gurgling even at low rpm ~2000

i havent wrapped it yet...is that what i need to do?

thanks for your opinions

5 speed?
stock muffler w/ silencer?

this is the case with my car. I get the gurgle at low rpms and a rattlesnake type hiss when punching it. I like the gurgle sounds nice and deep. I don't like the rattlesnakes though. they need to be derattled.

I also do not mind the light gurgle. What I could not stand was the hiss so I "derratled" it with some header wrap.

Fill me in. Did you wrap the whole pipe or just the flex section? Do anything special? I plan on doing this soon. Is it pretty quiet now with the hissing? Completely gone? thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, can I get header wrap from advanced auto parts, or is that something I need to order online somewhere?

I wrapped my Warpseed pipe from just below the O2 sensors all the way back to where the y-pipe meets the cat, and I used hose clamps to hold it in place. I did not wrap the cat. I did not wrap from above the O2 sensor due to the lack of room, I did this after the y-pipe was installed on the car. I did the flex section at first, and that helped some, but not to the extent that wrapping the whole pipe did. The hissing is greatly reduced, barely noticeable, and that's only when I am driving down an alley and step on it. I am very happy with the results of the header wrap on my y-pipe.

I have the gurgle only after I let of the gas, and I love it. Of course while idling there is that subtle hint of gurgle as well...
