Exhaust HELP plz

hye eveyone, im 17, and just a llil while ago i got myself a great deal on a 95 maxima!! Its basically completely stock except i wanted some sound to it, so i went to the local import shop and bought myslef a racer design canister muffler w/4" tip. i had it put on and was very unimpressed by how quiet it is...even with the silencer out..i was wondering if it had anything to do with the stock b-pipe, cuz i asked the place i bought the car and they said that i might have trouble starting my car if i take the resonator off and that my car might hesitate...now im looking for my exhaust to loud...i want people to hear me comming, if anyone has any input id appreciate it..

thanks,
steve

just like the majority of speed shops around, the ones around you are morons. you can remove the resonator, it wont hesitate. if you want more noise with a little performance, then get a hyrbid intake. if you want a little more noise with more performance then get a y pipe.

Im in the middle or purchasing a pipe on ebay. Performance-wise, I still have a stock setup.....i'm about to put in an intake. Are you guys sayin i won't have the deep tone unless I put in a y-pipe? Or can i put in a new muffler to my stock set-up to have some type of tone? Im not really lookin for too much performance yet, jus want to get rid of the rusty stock muffler and get a little growl. Any suggestions?

The intake alone will get you a growling sound and the addition of a ypipe and maybe a bpipe will get you more sound than you acan handle.

Ohh, that's how you do it, provided you don't want your car to gain a damn thing from it, and you are too poor to dump real money into doing it right?
