How can i make the Fogs work independantly of the headlights?
I would like to be able to run the fogs without the headlights on, with the headlights on, and with the highbeams on.
Has anyone already done this?
If so, do you have a link, or can you write it up??

I wish it would work for my 99 I30. I have tried every possible combination and it looks like I will need to go under the dash or into the steering column to find the fog light switch wire and rewire the whole thing the old-fashioned way.
Oh well, that will give me something to do this winter......

Did the mod last night.
Took about 30 min.......
Works great, my fogs are actually brighter now...lol
so are my low beams, man o man, those fogs ate up some voltage.
I will have the how to posted on my site later today, say 7pm CST
Thanks for all who helped........

big shout out to LastBoyScout !!!
This is indeed a very good write up !!! simply the best one out there-
rest of them are bit confusing at some aspects.
I did mine today and came out great !!! - I'm more mechanically inclined than electrically- but following those instructions was pure pleasure !!!!
big thumbs up to LastBoyScout !!!
few personal notes here:
the hardest part of the whole mod was to seperate the bottom portion of the relay box - I really had to wiggle it a lot !!!
all because of those two clips in the midlle of the relay box - they are pictured here: - Taken from LastBoyScout www site:

and fianally the part where you are supposed to splice the wire into red/blue wire from sidemarker - some instructions tell you to cut the red/blue wire , than splice part of it to newly routed wire from the relay box , and wrap the remaining part with electric tape - now - this is wrong - the mod won't work this way !!!! - to make it work after you cut the red/blue wire -splice the new wire in to the existing circuit !!!
side marker still needs its power !!!- Taken from LastBoyScout www site:
