I need a B.J.

How extensive is it, as a DIY project to put new brake rotors and calipers on? I have no experience and am curious if it can be done within a weekend. Any advice would be helpful.

Man its sooo easy. Unless you are afraid of getting dirty. I also recomend flushing your brake system and installing stainless steel brake lines. I used synthetic brake fluid, like DOT5 lol I swear my braking is much more responsive and stiff, I also needed new front rotors and did that at the same time so how much the lines did for me I am not quite sure.

To do the brake calipers and rotors you are going to need:
Pry bar or big a$$ flat head screwdriver
Big C clamp
Needle nose pliers
Socket set
Tire iron

ofcourse you will need the parts, ie: rotors, pads, brake fluid, calipers, ect...

PS. guys help me out if i forgot something..........

Get a torque wrench. You don't want to under torque those bolts, but you don't want to break them either.

For a Max b.j. make sure you service the rear calipers correctly or you'll be buying some more. You can't just use a clamp to force the piston back in you have to screw it.

Very easy, takes a few hours...unless you are me and don't liquid wrench the frozen bolts that hold the calipers to the bracket and snap the heads clean off of two of them. Ohh, and it was on a weekend too, so I couldn't do anything until monday. I tried to tap them, but no luck. Why aren't junkyards open on weekends?

a bj is good for one and all.... young and old...

I know i'm definitly in need of one. It always seems to make the ride quality so much better. With all that pressure built up, a good bj will improve performance and smooth things out in every way. The advantage for those that don't consider this a DIY project or can get some local assistance, the pros aren't took expensive to handle the job.

time for a bj
