if you dont have a ca-spec max, then getting a y-pipe is pretty good since it takes away 2 of the precats. Try budgetexhaust.com, they are located in Canada, but they are pretty cheap for a stainless steel mandrel bent one. I think it comes out to $185 US shipped. gl.

Definately a Y-pipe, that should be one of the first three mods done (clear corners, intake as well).

Wow, the canadian dollar has really risen in the last few months, i paid 166shipped back in february for mine, now its up to 190...

Budget probably just bumped up the price on all of their products, or is it true that Canadian $ keeps on rising up. http://xe.com/ I paid $200 with shipping for my Warpspeed Y 2 months ago.

from the FAQs...

Y-pipe - Technically replacing your y-pipe is illegal (in most states) because it removes emissions equipment, but since the pre-cats are only necessary until the main cat warms up you should pass emissions testing if your car is warmed up first.

just drive around for a while before you get ur smog check.

Get the new Headers that just came out, then get the y-pipe, then cat, and finally cat-back.

b pipes dont have any cats. If you wanted one, it doesnt affect emissions at all. not much hp gain though...

not much to it. Car up in the air, or enough so u can work under it. The six bolts ( three on each branch) are no problem. They come off easily. The TWO on the CAT are the worst. Those tend to be rusted, and even with plenty of wd40 or liquid wrench, they won't barge. I got lucky, only one was bad, the other one came off. People here have had to hit a muffler shop and have them cut these two bolts. Also, the O2 sensors might be a little difficult to get at. After that, its a breeze. You put on new gaskets, use plenty of anti-seize on the O2, and bolts, you put the thing together and... test drive. Ahh yeah. Some people say you have to re-set the ECU. Have i missed anything? Its a good thing to get some heat wrap, and wrap the pipe before you intall it. Makes it much easier!
