Injector replacement
Injector replacement
Here is where I am:
I removed the intake manifold, and removed cylinder #1 injector which is fried (no continuity/resistance)
Some on this forum recommend only to replace the faulty injector and the dealer recommend to change them all (3 under the manifold) as they are a hell to replace.
-Are they prone to fail after 120,000 miles? If so, should I replace them all.
-Are rebuilt as good as the new ones?
-Should I remove the carbon deposit from the EGR connector and the plenum? If yes, what should I use?
Thanks again for all your help you gave me up to now,
Stephane

Hey, found your post, I am going to change injector in cyl #1 tonight. Never removed IM before. Is there anything I should look out for when removing IM?
Did you put new O-rings with new injector or reused old ones?
How much time it took you?
I can't find any write-ups or any pictures so Haynes manual will be my only guide.
Thanks,
Vlad
