Flashing lights help

I have a 96 Max and Monday the charge and brake warning lights flicker on and off. It doesn't do it all of the time. The battery in the car is about 2 years old. I took it to have the alternator and battery checked and everything checked out ok. Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated before I have to take it to the 'stealer'. Drivability is not affected by the lights flickering.

well, the brake warning light, if that flashes it usually means you might be low on brake fluid. As for the charge light?, maybe a bad connection?

You may need an alternator -- I had the same thing happen to me. The voltage regulator in the alternator went, and my car was charging at 16+ volts. If I left all the acessories on, and the blower on high it wasn't that bad... but if I didn't have the headlights, seat heaters, and everything else on -- every time the engine reved up those lights would go on and off... I ended up getting a red top optima and a new alternator...

Ok my friend , I have had a similar experience with my previous 3rd Gen. The problem was (in my case) a bad brake master cylinder. You may want to check it with your local mechanic or , muster up the courage and go to the dealer Do not disregard this light! I could be other things in your situation ,i.e sticky caliper, ect.

Brake light + Charge light = Alternator

It's probably on it's last legs.
