has anyone had experience with a tunabe muffler or knew someone who had one? Did you/they like how it sounded. I heard that tunabe are usually put on 4cylinder motors, i was wondering if that is true or not?

I thought it was Tanabe. i personally don't like those style mufflers, it def belongs on a 4cyl honda go-kart. don't ruin what could be a deep beefy V6 note.

I've seen the newer carbon fiber tunables like the Tanabe around and yeah, they seem to be marketed to the Honda crowd.

However, Supertrapp has been making tunable mufflers (20 yrs?) long before tuning Hondas was popular. They were marketed to the muscle car street/strip V8 guys that would remove tuning discs at the track for open exhausts and add discs for low end torque/noise control on the street. The only time I've ever heard a Supertrapp was about 10yrs ago on a Mustang GT on the freeway. It had the sweetest low growl I've ever heard. I doubt they'd sound good on a V6, but would certainly be interested if anyone has first hand experience.

Yeah, i had a feeling that tanabe was for a 4cylinders. He had that muffler on his probe and it sounded pretty sweet....I thinking of just getting that Dynomax Turbo Muffler....
