The mount I'm talking about attaches to the body and to what Nissan calls the "support rod" which is the rod that supports shift linkage of the 5 speed. I'm getting ready to replace the front and rear engine mounts and I've noticed that this mount, while not torn, does look pretty old and weathered. I'd assume it absorbs a lot of drivetrain shock on hard shifts.
