Doe's anyone here have Grille Techs bumper inserts on there car?
They make it for 95 & 96 Maxima's. When I first got them in the mail
I wasn't to impressed, but when I put them on they where really nice looking. Then 4 Months later the bottom grill was rusting out. Even after I paid close attention to the care of these grill's and even now the other top two are getting rusted out. I'm going to have them powder coated in silver like when I first got them, what a rip off and what a pain to install. Anyone else with simaler problems or a solution?

It's not chrome dude, however I do agree with you. They are actually silver and when you put anew Nissan emblem on it in place of the old one it looks nice. But I wouldn't go with like trenz or anything like that.

Same problem here. They look really nice but they rust. I thought for all the money I paid and since they are exposed to the elements they would put something on to protect them, but no. All they said is that you are soppesed to clean and spray them with WD-40 ofter. What an f'en rip off. I was p'oed when I noticed that. Oh well live and learn.

heres
heres my opinion....**** grille-tech and for all you 95-96ers , paint your stock grille silver instead of messing with real mesh which rusts. It looks 1000x cleaner than any home depot or grille-tech grille ...

Hope this solves ur grille problem for at least the upper more bigger grille..as for the two bottom ones..i just left them alone...rather leave them open then to have them look like **** all rusted.

I was thinking about getting the grilletech. how about paining them with a rust retardent then paining with regular paint? buit then again, that's too much work for the money you spend on them.

Killer I did e-mail them, that's what fueled my anger and I decided to tell the "org" so this wont happen to anyone else. They Don't deserve our money.

Sounds like if you use a grilltech grill, you should probably eventually consider painting it for rust proofing. Personally, id stick with the stock grill. I love it
