OH MAN, I NEED HELP QUICK. Someone plz IM me.

k, I was changin the coolent on my mom's maxima (Typically a Sentra guy). I accidentally cut into a line that I think is AC. The tube runs from the firewall to the bottom of the engine. Has a metal section and a blue valve/cap with 'L' on it. HUGE PRESSURE RELEASE, won't stop. seems like it's spitting out a tiny amount of coolent (neon green in color). Someone please help me out, what should I do? PLZ AIM ME @ j1997ga16de.

Thanks.

How much play is there in that line??? I think you should do a band-aid fix for now to stop the leaking. Use some duct tape or something to tape off that gap. Then you might want to get some hose from Home Depot and replace that hose (if you can locate the other end of it under the motor)

I was changing the coolent, punctured the hose that runs the AC refrigerant. it was the low pressure valve (glad it wasn't the high pressure one) took like 10 minutes to stop.

I put on a temporary fix with a plastic tube and some hose clamps. Gotta fix it on monday.

Stupid me.

Glad to see that you got it solved. Good luck on Monday. Are you replacing the hose entirely? Can you see both ends of it?

uh oh, new problem. Aight what is the best way to replace this and what should it cost? I want to autozone to look for the part and he told me they don't have it. He mentioned that any AC repair could fix the hose for like $20-35 b/c IT'S JUST A HOSE. Well, I'm not in town, my mom called around and they all told her it's a $300 repair. WTF!?!?! Apparently they want to order the tube from firewall to the compressor (?) which is $170+ and no one in this whole state (from the sound of it) has this part available. They also said it's 2+ hours of labor to install a new one.

So what REALLY needs to be fixed? Can't I they just replace that small section of hose? Hell, I'll going to a junkyard before I spend $170 on parts and I'll f*&Kin replace that tube.
