Maxima all over the road

Once again another post As you all know or should now NYC is notorious for POT holes. Every time I hit one, I think my car will fall apart, litterarly. I mean its to the point where you feel EVERYTHING. Mu other car is a Lexus, and compared to the max it feels like you are driving on water. I have an SE so I know that plays a huge role. I have brand new struts installed. My question is, Can I install something that would stiffen up the ride, and not feel every single pot hole?

you can buy stiffer lowering springs and kyb adjustable shocks/struts that way you can adjust how hard or soft your ride is.

nope. stiffer springs will make his car rattle even more, and the chassis twist much more noticeable.

there are subframe connectors for our cars. warpspeed
call them. this is the best way to adress your issue. Then, you can get down and dirty with the suspension, if you want. the only issue with the subframe connectors is that they might reduce the ground clearance by a bit.

if there are problems with the suspension eg. bad shock/srut, cv joints, stabilizer bar, control arm etc. the the sfc wont fix that either. You should look at your suspension components first to see if ans parts are bad or in the processes. As far as the rattling ans sfc will help minimize that but if you cv joints are bad it will continue to rattle.

What brand of strut did you install in your car?

I can relate --

It is not so much that you feel all the bumps, but that you can hear every little imperfection. The bottom of the car sounds like there is zero noise insulation. There is so much resonance in the framework of the car.

The easiest way to get around it is to use some comfy H-rated tires that soak up a lot of road noise.
