Lowered the max!!!

I was pumped when i lowered the car down from it perch on the jack and see the drastic difference in ride height. Now the max looks evenmore bada$$ than before. The parents were not to happy, but dang am I pleased with the handling and look. I lowered on Sprint and GR-2's to the dismay of alot of you guys on the .ORG, but i wanted the look without spending that much right now. i am usually a patient person, but when it came to this, i was like "I got to get this done!!!" It took me and a buddy about 5 and a half hours for the complete install. Well worth it and this site helped so much it was unbelievable.

pictures coming

yeah i know, my girlfriend has the digital camera and i need to download the pics to post. it will be the first time to post pics so i hope it will work.

the ride is soooo much better than i thought. Fellow .Org members said the ride was rough and my commute to school is not all that smooth and i did not think it was bad at all. i love the feeling of being that low. i recommend the setup and we will see what it is like when it settles.

thanks for the replys

I don't think that the GR-2s will be able to handle that kind of a drop for a long time. I've been to Knoxville before and the roads there are very hilly and stuff, doesn't your bottom get scratched sometimes?

the drop

I have had it done for about 2 days now and have not scraped. I go to UT and the streets on campus are just pure s###, so i am careful. The GR-2's i know are not recommended for the sprints, but like i said i wanted the drop and will be investing in some AGX's down the road. If you know the roads, you can avoid them (i.e. the horrible cop infested I-40 with the speed limit at 45 mph) who in the world posts a speed limit of 45 on an interstate? COPS SEEM TO TAKE A LIKING TO IT!!!!

Which shocks would pair well with the Sprints? Sprints give a 2" drop right?

Any adjustable ones will. The most common are KYB AGX. Mine ride fine with these and I love the look of the sprint drop

congrat on your new drop. i say you hurry up save up some $$, sell your GR2 as used, combine the money and get some AGX ASAP before your GR2 blown out. GR2s are only 15% firmer than stock SE shocks. they are NOT RECOMMENDED for drops over 1.5".

for the sake of your $$, your max, and your safety, please get AGX. cuz i doubt any of us wants to hear your "oh sh*t" story in few weeks.

please don't take it offensively, just giving you a friendly heads-up that's all. enjoy the new ride.

finger gap

the front gap is about 2 fingers and the rear is like 3.

on the way home from school, my rear struts seem to make alittle bit of noise as if they are not sitting right or they are off alignment in the strut perch in the trunk. can somebody share some knowledge on what to do cause i dont want this to continue? PLEASE IF ANYBODY CAN TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED

i know, i would love to get some AGX's, but my parents almost disowned me when they saw i had purchased all these parts. i mean my dad is the most frugal person, but yet my mom just got a '03 infiniti G35. it is amazing!!!! but yeah, the idea about selling them used is a great idea. do you think that AGX's in the front is more of a necessity than in the rear.

try goin to radio shack and get wire wrap. wrap the coil in the wrap and should help silence some noise. if it the spring not on the perch right, then there the wrong springs. the spring should sit on the perch the same the oem springs sat on them..

BTW: looks sharp look at my homepage...
