Axle Leak...Im Lost !!

Alright ever since I got my LSD trans put in Ive had a leak out the drivers side axle and I finall decided to bring it to a reputable shop to have the seal changed out for good...

He changed it and its still leaks. He got in a new axle and measured them and they are the same...now I dont understand why Its leaking..

The catch is I know the first thing to think is "diff bearings worn out" but NO, the axle is tight in the trans...I even checked with the tranny guy, very reputable place, and he siad theres not enough play for it to be bearings, hes seen bad bearings in other vehicles and he said this axle is tight

I ran across the same problem that you are having. I had the same symptoms that you are having. So the first think I did was replaced the seal the axle still felt tight so I assumed the bearings were good. But after a week I got the leak back, and was going to replace the seal again, and then I checked the axle and it was loose. So the transmission was replaced, since the bad one was still under warranty.

Well the axle has been tight ever since I put the tranny in...and this is the second axle becuase the first one I thaught was wrong...

It doesnt even stay dry a week...the tranny guy takes it for a ride and comes back its dry, 5 min later its wet and leaking...axle tight
