Shaved my rear

Shaved my rear

I just got done shaving the emblems off the rear of the Max. Looks great except you can see the outline of the letters. My guess is the paint has faded or something.

I have Z1 & Z5 Zaino Wax on it right now. Will this remove the outline of the letters? Or will I have to clay it? I have a clay bar just haven't used it much so I'm a little nervous using it.

kinda depends on how bad it looks or how deep it is, etc. a good wax job would probably get it out (and would make your car all squeekyshiny too!)

It doesn't look that bad. If that's the case the Zaino should take it out then. [Hopes ]

Nice job man....i shaved mine and the outline was present as well...after a lot of goo gone and a few washes..it eventually comes out

That's good to hear. It definetly looks good. I would take pictures, but at the moment my Max isn't really worth taking pictures over. Maybe in a few months when I lower it and have some wheels then I'll take pics.

I just shaved my GLE sign off my car, Me and like 2 of my other freinds got blisters doing it :sad: I just took a really sharp poket knife and poped it off w/o scratching, Im used to working with wood and knives so I know how to use it and not scratch my car

I was considering shaving the nissan burger off the trunk, and leaving the "maxima" lettering.

has anyone done this, or know where I can find pictures of it?

I'm going to shave the whole thing since my car has the gold ones and they look dirty as hell Maybe someday I'll put on the chrome MAXIMA letters But I rather let people wonder what car it is

You won't do any damage with a clay bar. It also probably won't take that off. Some 3M scratch remover or finish restorer (or brand of your choice) may get it. As long as your not using a heavy rubbing compound you won't damage your fininsh. If you do use a product of some sort, remember back an forth strokes not little circles.
