I'm having woes with my sunroof, 96 SE.
I got about 1cm of rain in through an open sunroof. I dried up the inside and closed the roof, then drove to work.
The roof wouldn't open at work. The strange part is that the sunroof switch opens the vent (it raises the rear) and the vent switch can lower the roof and take it back maybe 3in. I did notice a few drops of water when I was trying.
I'm in PA, and I'm guessing the following happened: The rain got water in the roof, then froze on my way to work. The dealer suspects that the switch itself is bad, but I think it's something else. I suspect that the switch operation is based on position sensors. I pried the liner down a bit and watched the operation of the roof. There is a small dead spot between transition from sunroof to vent, so I'm thinking the ice caused the switch sensors to be pushed out of position.
Anyone have information on this?
Recommendations?

hopefully it's just the switch...
It's a fairly easy to remove part...
I can't picutre how the operation got _switched_ though.
I'll look for a salvaged switch set and post back
thanks
