Seatbelt Won't Retract

My driver's seatbelt won't retract very well any more. Is there anything I can do? It still stops when I brake. Will the stealership do anything, or is this something that I'll have to get done myself?

theres actually a TSB on that, whats wrong is that the plastic part on top where the seatbelt is looped into, Crud and lint gets built up between the plastic loop and the belt so it causes friction and slows the retraction. what you do is just scrape all the cr@p off with a small screwdriver and maybe use some alcohol to soften it up.

Seatbelts also have a lifetime warranty on them. Maybe the dealership will fix that for you.

I have the same prob There is a TSB on it, but the stealership will charge you $$$ to fix it. I'm going to go there and see how much the part is so I can install it myself, or I'll buy a used one if the part is too expensive

Tell me what you decide and how much it cost you
