I smoke and let others smoke in the car as well. I wish the back seat had ashtrays in the doors like my old '91 did though smoking out of the back seat just never works well. Chances are I'll put another 80-100K miles on the car on top of the 100K it already has and it won't have much resale value when I sell it...in the end, it'll just be an old, used, high mileage car and smoke smell will probably be the least of the next owner's worries.

I do not smoke and do not like people smoking in my car either. I work in the operating room as a surgical tech. Seeing parts of lungs, with black marks all over, coming out due to cancer is a REAL deterrent for me.

Getting a bit off topic, but Mark Twain once said: "It's easy to quit smoking. I've quit hundreds of times."

I do not smoke nor would I let anyone smoke in my car. If someone wants to smoke in their car that's fine with me, just don't throw the cig. butts out the window. I hate that!!
