stillen front lip?

Only place i've found a stillen front lip for sale is @ southwestautoworks for 210 shipped. That isn't bad, but for those of you who painted/repainted your front lip, what was the general cost?

Would it look funny w/just the lip or would it be ok? i dont have 1000+ for a bodykit plus paint.

let me know fellas.

Although i dont have a body kit, IMO a front lip doenst look bad. But it will just make you want the rest of the body kit that much more.

I 2nd that comment, it WILL make you want to get the rest of the kit. I did that because I was cheap. Might as well just get the whole kit for $750 from AvalonRacing.net if they still hold that deal, though they had that deal like year and a half ago, not sure if they still let it go for that price. You would save on shipping and if you get it painted somewhere, I'm pretty sure the shop will give you a discount for bringing all the pieces at once.

I will concurr.. it won't look that bad.. the only problem is it'll make ur front end look heavy.. but no worries.... it barely makes a difference...

prep and paint probably a couple hundred or less. Ive seen those "got it painted for $50" lips and they have eggshell texture and overall just terrible.

I did my own painting on the front lip. Its ok but the pros wanted 250 to paint and install. too much imo. 95-96 with just lip doesnt look bad at all. not sure if I like 97-99 with just lip. I think they should go full kit. again, just my opinion. Im not a hater

^ yeah, definatly a good idea to wait until the spring time.. I got into a minor accident and my front bumper got scratched up and chipped, I'm gunna wait until march before I have anything done to it. Plus I'm still deciding if I want to go with an aftermarket bumper/lip or not.

i think the color of the car is a factor to consider.
A lighter colored one would make the space between the door and the floor more obvious.
(thus having the owner yearn for a kit more)

IMHO, a darker maxima would look fine with just the front lip.
