Way to check Air/Fuel ratio?
Hello all,
I just came back from the emission testing facility and my 95 Max failed. Results:
HC passed
CO passed
NOx failed: at 770 should be 501 ppm
I checked the EGR valve OK and the car was in normal operating temperature.
Here is what I did a few weekes ago... since the last time I passed:
-Installed a Y pipe (It should not be an issue if the car is under normal operating temperature)
-Cleaned the TB
-Replaced 3 injectors (had to remove the intake and cleaned it)
-Cleaned the EGR tubes
How can I determine if it is a excessive lean air/fuel ratio (before I replace the Catalytic)? I am wondering if an injector seal broke when I replaced one of the injectors (I would like not to have to remove the intake to check the seals)
Any ideas?
Thanks for your help,
Stephane
