FYI, the Maxima and I30 mufflers are identical.

Also, that is not the engine from a 2000 Maxima.

hey. try not to lie on your car domain page. that is not a 2k max engine. did you really think we wouldn't notice? people like me will never listen to a word you say again =] also swapping a 2k max engine into a 4th gen is farqin stupid.

If it's I30 door panels, where are the chrome handles? Also, as far as I know, all I30s had wood trim, but his center console is now. The seats and the center A/C vent are I30, but otherwise, it looks like everything else is Maxima stock.

Ok, if you read correctly, i painted every wood trim titanium cause I don't like the wood. It is not even real wood. For the door handles, I kept them balck because everything else is black inside. And I know you can't tell that it is a 2k engine because it looks identical to 95-99 models of maxima. I will take pics of the vin of the engine and the vin which is located on the firewall. I know for 100% they are different. Also you can't put I30 A/C vents into a maxima dash because the vents are a different shape.

I dont care if the VINs match or not. That is not a VQ30DE-K engine.

Your engine:

2000 Maxima VQ30DE-K:

I dont need to point out the myraid differences...

Also I realized something you people probably don't know. On 2k maximas, there is a thermostat between the block and cylinder heads. On 1995-1999 Maximas, there is no thermostat there. If you don't believe me, look at your engine and look at the pic of my engine and you will see the thermostat. Got you.

What?

Look at the different shapes of the oil filler necks.

Look at the TOTALLY different intake manifolds.

Look at the different contours of the timing chain cover.

Look at the vastly dissimilar intake ductwork.

Dont try to BS on this one, you're losing.

The motor is a direct fit. Intake I had to keep from 1996 because the other one has different cotrols to the engine.

You lie.

Did you change the valve cover and the timing chain cover too?

Look how the 20o0 oil filler points up, away from the valve cover, yours does not.

Immediately to the left of the oil filler, there are two ground bolts on the timing chain cover that your motor lacks as well.

No, you could take pics of any old engine. I want more pics of the engine that is currently in your car. Take a picture of the VIN on the engine in your car (make it clear that its your engine in your car) and we can run that for proof of its vintage.

k, I take the pics of the vin of the engine and the vin on the firewall. Also I take picsof the old engine because then I could show you that the engine which is out of the car matches the vin on the firewall.

I have to admit I doubt as well, though maybe not as much as everyone else. But if you did do it, rock on. Grab a copy of today's newspaper and set it on top of whatever you take pictures of. Just to help authenticity.

nice interior! must be strange at first when you look in your rear view mirror and see those headrests.

- the only thing i'm not really feelin is the emblem on the back. looks a little too small imo, but if you like it...

i don't understand why people want to lie. lets say you did do they the swap. what ecu are you using? how come you don't have the black VIAS(varible intake) from hte 00+? give me the VIN # off the 00 max you got the engine out of. how difficult was the install. why don't you give us any of those details foo

Ok, the reason I am not using the back intake because my computer does not have VIAS. The computeris off a 1996 I30t. 1995-1999 Maxima computer don't know what VIAS is. That came out on 200 and up maximas. It took me about a month to install because I had to revire some vacuum hoses. There is a pic of that on my website.

I stand corrected. Nice work.

So why did you bother swapping all those 96 parts to the 2k engine to make it fit? Why didnt you just get another 4th Gen engine?
