Supercharging it won't give you 350hp unless you upgrade the injectors. A 350hp maxima as a daily driver will break -- often, unless a lot of money is spent on it. Get a turbo, built engine and built transmission.

SC suck cause all you get is HP and no torque. As for 350hp the cheapest way is a turbo. You can do all types of engine work but that won't get you more than 250hp, maybe more. Not too many people have gone crazy on the engine, if any at all. Boring out the cylinders, gasket matching the intake manifold for better flow stuff like that...

You will need atleast a turbo kit, intake, y pipe.... Nitrous...

Mardigraas (forgot his spelling) has arround that with a turbo and nitrous i believe.

P.S.
Im shooting for 350 or higher.. gunna take me atleast a year and a half.

They don't suck. They blow. And they can blow pretty hard too. MariGrasMax proved that when he ran his SCed Max to a 11.9 @ 117

I believe Mardi had 350+ WITHOUT the NOS, but I could be wrong, it's been a while since I looked at his dyno.

I don't think it's even possible to bore out the VQ. Enginework is primarily restricted to built rods, pistons, and cams.

i was looking on another forum and i believe it is the same guy from here, HLH0501 i think is his name. his dyno printout showed 476hp and 501 ft/lb torque. no idea what he has but that was what i saw.

Take a look

HP is a derivative of a torque equation. that doesn't make any sense. you can't add only horsepower or only torque. Depending on the amount of torque and where it acts best (high, mid, low rpm) will determine the hp increase.

This again. I know tq is required to make hp. However with ALL SCs you gain some tq and much less hp. The maxima SC is like 80hp and maybe 50 tq. That's what I was saying...

yea turbos do lag, and super chargers make power at low RPM but only mild boost. once they pick up you can get better power off of wasted exhaust gas than a pulley driven super charger. it does cost more, and take more install work for a turbo

Turbo lag is what you get ... If you buy a turbo made from 1979.

The turbos nowadays make the superchargers look laggy.

laughing gas. Our engine can handle up to 150 shot with upgraded fuel system a s-afc to tune it all. Add all the bolt ons and ecu you can be looking at damn near 400 crank hp
