Replacing 95-96 grill with 97-99 Grill...need input

I just ordered a 97-99 Chrome grill off the internet. I have seen some maxima owners that have a 95-96' maximas, and they modified the 97-99 grill to fit there 95-96 maximas. Does anyone know what needs to be done so that the 97-99 grill will be able to fit my 96 maxima? I read somewhere u have to sand the edges of the grill alittle so it fits. I'm not sure..plz help. Thanks - Rehan

You might be able to trim the bumper. The two spots where grill comes down to meet the bumper.
