Dang! That Sucks, man! I would be ****ed if that happened to me. Good luck with the restoration. Hopefully, you will be able to get out the swirl marks you had to put in it to get the spray paint off.

Maybe it was some kid in a honda that was ****ed that the max is like twice as fast as his POS. But it could be someone that has some taste and decided to teach you a lesson for adding the hideous wheel gap.

Chris, we should get together and go see a buddy of mine. He does auto body. Maybe he can help, or at least let you know what your options are.

Sorry to this. I try to keep as low of a profile as possible with my maxima. I have a porsche 944 Turbo S too and it was keyed once. I actually have since removed all the turbo S decals (actually getting it ready to paint) I am truely considering keeping it that way so maybe it wont attract so much attention. My maxima is basically a stock look (outside the Rota Slipstream wheels and clear tails with out the MAXIMA across the back. I think it fits in pretty well.
People notice my wheels on the porsche more because they are chrome like yours. Just try and park it in areas that you feel are safe. Walk a little extra if you have to its worth it in the end. And anytime you can vallet and give the guy a little extra to watch out for you that seems to work nice.

your not going to belive me on this, but full coverage for me is between 8-12 THOUSAND dollars a year! i have checked every damn insurance company in the yellow pages, all with the same result. and i really do not have [I]that[I] bad of a driving record.

If it were me and depending on your insurance decuctable and previous insurance track record I would just pay the deductable and get a brand new paint job!!!!! In my case i would definatly pay $500 (deductable) to get new paint, clearcoat, dents and scratches out!!!!!

Don't make too many claims. I have been with state farm for over 15 years and over the last 8 years I've kept my collision at $250 dect. and comprehensive at $0 dect.. I don't like paying for windshield repairs or small dents and such. I received a letter a month ago that said since I've made 10 small claims, mostly windshields, windshield chip repair and a couple small dents over the past 15 years, they won't allow me to have that kind of coverage, they will only let me carry $500 and $500 deductables. Keep in mind that this coverage has also been for two cars since I got married in 94. I'm sorry but I don't see 10 small claims (all under $750, most of them under a couple hundred) on two cars over mainly 15 years is a big deal. It's stupid, they offer the coverage that low, but god for bid you have to use it, they'll drop you or raise your rates, or something stupid like what they're doing to me now.

Don't get me started on insurance. You pay all that money in case of an accident. You get in one and have to use your insurance. They then raise your rates to recover what they paid out for you. Why am I paying in the first place? It's very expensive prepaid interest on a 'loan' to fix your car or possible legal issues from the accident.

Sorry for the rant.

Techie, the reason why State Farm raised your deductible is because they no longer sell insurance with ZERO deductibles. State Farm phased out ZERO deductibles about 5 years ago.

One thing you all might want to keep in mind with insurance is, for every $1.00 in premuims they collect from us, they pay out on average $1.08 for claims. Insurance companies do not make money on premuims, but on investments.

$8,000 - $10,000 a year to insure your vehicle? That sounds impossible, you must have 15 points on your driving record.

Did you get the paint removed yet???

F That.. Spray paint his eyballs that you are holding open with vicegrips while pouring the left over paint thinner down his throat. Then when the spray can is empty, jam it up hiss a$$, tie him to the bumper, and go for a cruise.

If you need any help, let me know
