New exedy ceramic clutch

Hey anyone have one of these? i just ordered mine, It is a new line from exedy, it is ceramic and has 84% Torque capacity increase, but does not shock the tranny as much as the ACT.

check it out here,

it is expensive but may be a good performance clutch without the harsh shock of the ACT.

How do you suppose its less harsh than an act with a three puck design, and 84% more holding torque...Might wanna check with them..85-01 is the year but the engine they have isnt right.

it is not as harsh, but i think you guys are right, i blew my tranny last week, and i am in the middle of putting in my new one, i spoke with the rep at Exedy and he said this is the way to go, i just cancelled the order, and got the stage one, that is 33% a little less harsh than the ACT. I was wrong sorry guys.

Man, cmon 80+% more clamping force is insane on a max tranny. Good idea you went with the Stage one, thats the one i went with, you should like it. Just dont go to shift crazy cuz it still grabs like a bat outta hell....

yea i have been told it is a bit tamer than the act i had in it before, plus less shock on tranny. I am running 11psi of boost, and the idiot at aamco told me i would be best to go with the oem clutch, I asked him if he was going to pay for the flat bed to bring me back once i got a mile down the road. I think i am making the right choice, hopefully they were able to catch it in time and send the stage one rather than the 3 puck. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

84% dood your tranny will die.. stage one act is only like 36% more and some people say its wearing down their tranny.. un less you got the power for it.. i dont think that clutch is the best idea..
