Well I fixed it today, but heres the catch. I set it to 3400 like you did. But my reading came out to be exactly 3400 rpms activated the VI. So then I set it to 4k and it hit 4k right on the money. Then I just set it to 5200 and thats when the VI opens 5200. Wierd. I wonder why you are off like that. How do you have your fine tune ****? I am not complaining by any means. Just finally happy to have a functional VI after 2 weeks.

deezo - I do got patience when it comes to stuff like this. Just get mad at times. Did yours ever get working?

To be honest, I wouldn't be able to even deal with something like that right now. The kids are to young and I don't have the time to even change my spark plugs. Hopefully one day things will change a bit.

very odd. Me and Neal both have to use a 3400 setting.

I take that back. I got it set at 5400 and it opens at 5100 on my tach. But then again tachs are know to be off 200-300, so it could be right on the money.

From Summit : "Our switch also has an adjusting **** inside the unit that lets you fine-tune to any rpm"

Its the little round **** that you can turn with a phillips screwdriver. The VI really makes a world of difference. Almost took it for granted.

I get mine from the Middle East - the EGR Ports are never plugged. Thus yes - the ones in Japan are exactly the same as the ones in the ME - because both are originally made in Japan.

I suppose the ones from another ME country may have the port plugged, however....like Bahrain - where RoadBeast came from.

And noone I've ever sold a Harlan Switch to has ever complained.
(except for 96shogunmax who apparently broke his.)

Use a relay properly, and you shouldn't have problems. I myself have been running the Harlan for longer than anyone except for Mardisgrasmax - and it's never failed me.

It's even sitting under the VI cover - lots of heat - no problem.

Not that I care what switch people use - but just clearing things up.

I had a LED wired to mine to show activation. I believe it shorted out b/c I used the wrong resistor with the LED. I didnt feel like waiting forever to get another harlan, so I got the summit.
