!!!HELP !!! Changed Spark Plugs and now...

hey

i just changed the spark plugs in my maxima to copper plugs # 22401-50y05 and now my car is idle is all wierd and when i drive my car the car has absolutly no power at all... i checked all the hoses and everything seems to be ok ... any one please help

did u set hte gap for hte plugs? i think it is suppose to be 39-44

i got a 06 06 code which said cyl. 3 mis fire according to the how to said nothing about gapping is that what is wrong? let me know

u don't have to gap platinum plugs, but u do have to gap copper plugs

I bet you lost and/or disconnected the rubber boot on the COil Pack on cyl #3.

Take everything out again and inspect.

i took out the plugs and gapped them to what the haynes manual said 43 im but still the same thing i will check the coil pack more through this time ... anyone else with some opinions

Yeh dude this happened to me. its real easy, un plug the coil pack for the one thats mis-firing, and check the pins inside for the plug. They bend extremly easily. there are 3 or 4 pins inside the plug for the coil pack, if one bends it does not go into the female end of the plug and bam there you go.

well since my car was still acting up i put my stock platnium plugs back in and my car fired up and ran great again... what happened? can my car not handle copper plugs? they are gapped and everything... could they be bad plugs?? im going to see if nissan can get me an exchange for 6 more.
