This may sound stupid but do you think leather seats in a 4th gen max are the same quality as say a 1st gen infiniti i30?? I use to have a 97 infiniti i30 but it did not have leather seats it was the base version with no sunroof etc.

I love mine. The leather is a bit hard but nothing that Meguiar's hasn't been able to make a bit more supple. I kinda prefer the firm feeling of our seats. I can't comment on sliding around on slick leather because I fit like a bug in a rug in my Max (primary reason that I bought it). I can tell you that after 7 years and 65K miles, the leather on my front seats is in great condition, the seats feel the same as they did on day 1 and that I would never get anything else. Heck, after this, I insisted on leather when looking for a slightly used Chevy Z71. Those seats are softer and less supportive, for me, but still worthwhile.

My 97 Max was the first car I or my family had ever owned with a leather interior. Now I'm spoiled and it's a requirement for any vehicle I buy.

i want aftermarket seats so bad but cant afford them. Seen Jerseymaxima's car and almost fell in love.

maxima leather is good but i've felt better.

Maxima leather is quite different then Infiniti leather. The 99 SE Limited leather package is also quite different then any other Maxima leather. It's perforated like Infiniti's and it's very soft unlike regular SE's leather. Other Max owners who sit in my car always comment on how soft my leather seats are.
