Sunroof slider/blocker

The part that slides UNDER the glass - whatever you wana call it - That's what I need to know about.

The current Maxima I'm lookin to buy has a sunroof (duh) and the only interior flaw is the sliding part.

If it's closed...and you take off kinda jumpy.....it's slides ALL the way back to the open position w/ no restriction.

Any idea what caused it? How much it is to fix? or....what I can do to fix it?

Shim it's track slightly so it's not so easy for it to slide on it's own.

I dont think that will help it. It seems like it's just riding on bearings. Nothing is holding it.

have you checked to see if the car has been in a wreck, the reason why i asked is because when i got into my wreck the airbags caused one on my latches to break (the latches that open the roof up and down). and now the sliding part has problems opening and closing, the sunroof still functions right but that's the only flaw open and closing. just my 2 cents
