Its up to you. I have a hybrid intake and I took my 'ram air' snorkel off cause it just looks ugly. Doesn't really make a differnce, all up to you.

Well my dad and I just installed my EBAY CAI. Only thing is we didn't make it a CAI. We didn't want to drill the hole, so we made it a "ram air" intake. The resonator and all that is out.

My question is the engine light is on, is this normal just because the ECU doesn't know what the hell is installed on it? Or is it because the sensor that was on the air box is not connected?

Either way the car seems to be running REALLY well. And the sound.................pure insanity, my god I got goosebumps when I floored it.

you didn't reconnect something. The air sensor that was on the stock box can just lay there by the intake, make sure all the harnesses are connected...

first think i would check is all the wires from the resonators and junk are hooked up to your midpipe properly

There's one hose that was connected to the resonator down below the battery part. And now since it's out I couldn't find anything that it connected too. I wish I had a picture to show you what I am talking about.

All the hoses that connected to the air box or whatever are connected. It's just that one little hose that connects to the resonator. I don't know where to put it now.

The one sensor that isn't connected that should be fine though? I noticed the Frankencar had a spot for it.

did your midpipe have a place to connect the resonator hose to? which sensor, the one from the air box? thats the intake temperature sensor...you need that too

That is the intake I bought. The 3 connectors on the mid pipe are all connected. Not sure what the hell the black thing is (this Intake did not come with instructions), would that be where the other hose would lead too?

Below is the picture. The thing in #1 that I'm pointing to is the sensor that is no longer connected. The thing in #2 I'm pointing to I believe is the hose that is no longer connected to the resonator.

ya after i posted the picture i thought that too. but we pulled something from the resonator down low that is no longer connected. and that one hose isn't connected. I'm going to guess it doesn't matter and the engine check light is on because the sensor isnt connected.

i would recomend putting the sensor somewhere, sucks to have the little light all the time...also how do u know when something ACTUALLY goes wrong?

well my little retarded brain figured out where the sensor goes. It connects to where the black cork thing is. That should take care of the problem. The hose thats disconnected I am not too sure about, hopefully that won't be another problem.

connect the sensor, reset your ECU, see what happens
