Just bought a Max

I just got a 1996 SE, Black 5-spd.......i love it.... so this'll be my new home from now on.....I have Diamond clear corners and a weapon r intake already installed. First thing i wanna do is exhaust. I'm probably getting a warpspeed y pipe and a hiflow cat... as far as for a muffler what would sound the best w/ the y-pipe? any opinions appreciated, thanks!

Mufflers are all a matter of opinion. To one person, a setup can sound ricey, to others it may sound perfect. Its more a trial an error process. Buy what you want and can afford and go from there. Generally the rule is stay away from canister mufflers since they all produce a defined rasp at high rpm...

Dont waste your money on a high flow cat, search around and you will see how big of a POS they are.

Check out the FAQ's and search around for basic questions....

yea it didnt make sense to me he was trying to tell me that it had a 210 hp engine or around there..... i was pretty sure that all the engines in 96 had 190hp, so i didnt really get why he was so insistent on that.
