I have done a search, but is there a summary of ignition coil pack failures?

1. What years are affected?
2. If 99 is included, was the problem started in 99? ((? If yes when ? early/ late?
3. what is the "bad brand" of coil packs?
4. Are those bad brand packs STILL bad? Or buy another brand?
5. Any way to get codes out of the puter other than the thread that says to turn the switch near the gas pedal?

1 and 2.. My 99 was affected, had 3 coil packs go bad. Just ended up replacing them all.

3. My original coil packs were Hanshin.

4. I purchased the Mitsubishi ones.

5. Either that way, or you can goto Autozone and they will hook up an OBDII reader for free and get codes.
