I know you get this question often so please just bear with me. I have a 99 max se with auto trans, and just bought a HKS Dragon muffler. I was wondering if i should have the resonater removed a straight 2.25 put in. I know it would probably give better performance a hp but would it make it to loud.

Dave B actually ran a faster quarter mile with his stock exhaust than the HKS that he had......

Generally removing resonators doesn't add any power either.

 

Also you picked a very BAD muffler. Those things sound horrible due to their size and shape. That's all I'll say. But like Drew said a muffler doesn't give you anything except riceboys reving at you...
