So i checked the Faq, and did some searching, but nothing i found really answered my question. so if you know the answer, or know a thread where it's discussed, gimme a link, and i'll delete this thread.

Driving on the highway today, i turned on the cruise control (the switch on the dash) and hit the Set/coast button (on the steering wheel) at the same time. that made the cruise control light blink. I turned it off, just because i had no idea what i was doing. I was able to reproduce this a couple of more times since, but still have no clue as to what it's doing. Is this just a simple error, or is it a "program" mode of sorts?

i had a 95 sentra before and this also happened to me, its just a nissan thing. Nothing Wrong With It. Blinking means it failed to start the cruise control. just turn it off then back on without pushing any of the cruise control buttons.

i set mine once...then had to slow for a light...then kept on tapping the resume while driving 35mph...cuirse didn't wanna turn on, so it blinked. so if you're under 40, u cant use cruise

other scenario: was doing 90 (which's cruise's max), canceled cruise (but not turn off), went 115, and tried to set cruise...it blinked at me. too fast!
