Tried to install rims, Problems with back Rotars...

I have a question.

I was trying to install my rims on the back today, and The middle hub piece that is in the middle of the rotar, would Pop the center cap off, not allowing the rim to go on all the way. So My boy went today and got a set of small spacers for the back rims. Is it possible to remove that metal hub from the back, so That its flush because Nissan said our back berrings in them are Sealed, and that hub piece is pretty much there just for a cover. Can it be removed? So the rims can sit on there flush?

NIck

this is my front brake system with black custom painted caliper over stock rotor. as you can see the metal hub is not included, and the wheels fit perferctly. i don't think nissan ever gave me the center hub piece in the first place. the guy i bought my voxx MGR gave me konig center cap + hub ring so i just replace it over.

make sure you have hub ring. it'll protect your rim from scratching against the center hub in the long-run.

on my rear braking system, nissan did provided me the center cap. but i didn't really bother to take it off. so my wheels just pop right in with the konig hub ring. so either way it doesn't matter.

good luck

Thanks bud, Yeah im hearing now from everyone that its a Dust Cap. Man you dont know how mad I was earlier today, I thought The rims just didnt fit on the back period. I was gonna die man lol. But how do you go about prying that off, with a flat head or something? The thing is metal so I never knew what it was. I have the Hub Rings, the guy gave them to me with the rims, so there pretty nice to, but A good question is, does the back look like the front when you take off the cover, cause if so, the front rims went on like cake, so the back ones should be the same then right? Thanks wizza and happy.

later

yeah, the guy was talkin about Actually dentin it in ward, but if it comes off theres no need for that. I dont see if theres a problem because the front wheels dont have one, so the backs should be just as fine. If its for dust, then either way, Theres a cap for the rim, so I guess Im good to go. SUx cause ill be takin them back off soon, but for the Time of them being on is priceless

Thanks guys for everything!
