I have this wierd problem with my rpms. When im driving, and i push the gas up to like 3k rpms or so, and then let my foot totally off the gas, the rpms go down to like 500, then back up to about 800. This happens at any speed, in any gear, even on the highway unless im goin like 70 and 4th gear is dragging the rpms up.

This happens in neutral, as well as in drive (automagic), is this normal? , Its been happening right before and ever since the dealer replaced my air flow meter.

Anyone have any ideas of what i could do to make it stop?

I would check for any air leaks, had a similar problem with my '97 Altima.
If not, maybe it's a faulty unit.
