Any ECU upgrades available for 99?

Hey Guys!
I need some help...are there any ECU upgrades available for a 1999 SE-L 5spd? I was wanting to get one if there is, but I cannot find out really any info on it. Please help me, or refer me to some sites. Give feedback please also.
Thanks,

Thanks,
JET makes one for us as sold on custommaxima.com, but the general feeling around the .org is that it is a rip off, as the info they have provided seems fake.

well all be rotting in hell long before they come out with a legit ecu for us

Man, That s.u.c.k.s!
All I want is to have a new ECU...is that too much to ask? ha ha
Well, thanks for the info, guys. I guess I will just have to be on the look out for one if and when they do come out with a good one.
Appreciate the help.

Personally, Im more interested in performance than changing my rear lights.....and plus....it takes a lot more effort to make a performance ecu than creating tail lights...im sure a little nagging would help, right?

Hey.

What has been said about the JET chips? I have been researching, and those are the only ones that are available. They say that it is about 15+ horsepower gain. I don't know if that is worth it though. I mean, you can get almost that much gain spending $500 on some lighter wheels and then you have a new look to your car.

I am with you...who cares about some taillights. The Red/clears are overrated anyway. An ECU upgrade would be much better than that.

ha ha ha...Okay...so...not quite that much hp, but you get what I am saying. The wheel weight dramatically changes acceleration for a car. Even just dropping 2 lbs. per wheel, that is a drop every time that the car has to turn the things.

I was just saying there should be more yield for an ecu upgrade than just 15 hp. y-pipe pretty much gets that, doesn't it?

Dont purchase any JET products from them. From experience i bought a JET V force control module about 2 years ago or so hoping to see a difference in power, but really didnt notice anything. Furthermore, my ecu chip fried in the process and had to buy a new one. I wasnt able to prove if it were installed incorrectly or the Jet Pack fried my ecu, but I removed it immediately. That was a $1200 learning experience.....

Whoah!

I cannot afford those kinds of learning experiences! Thanks for the tips, man. I will steer away from that.

JET's ecu does not really work in a 99. Just one more example of why NOT to buy JET products, they can't even get the years right. The morons at JET just assume that because they body style is the same and the engine is the same from 95-99 that the ECU must be too. They are wrong. Also a 15hp claim from an ECU on our cars is bogus. The largest peak hp gains I have seen from ECU on the 4th gen max is about 8hp and 11 ft-lb. This info is coming from someone who has owned/owns both a JET ECU and a JWT ECU for my 96.

Thanks again for the info. I have now been talked out of getting an ecu upgrade, esp. if that is all that the gain is. Thanks...
