New Front Struts, recommended parts to replace...
I need front struts and I'm not sure what other parts should be replaced while having this done. I know the boots are shot, but other than that I'm not sure.
This link shows all the parts on a Maxima Suspension, both Front and Back. From what I've read on the .org KYB Strut Mounts are not very good.

I would like to know what parts can be recycled and what parts generally need to be replaced?. I contacted Courtsey Nissan and they want about $380 for all the parts besides the struts/shocks. That is a little out of my price range as I already have some KYB GR 2's on the way. Any help, espically from njmaxseltd, is greatly appreciated.

If you ask a Nissan dealer, they'll say:
Mounts
Bearings
Boots
Isolators
Only get new mounts if you need them. Open your hood and look at the strut towers. With your hand, check to see if there is too much play in the center nut. If there is then your mounts are bad. I think that's how you test the mounts

You can reuse your old spring isolators and wrap the spring with wire wrap or vinyl tubing. They cost like $10-15 each so for the front (need 4 total for front, 2 on each spring) it'll be $40-$60. Just wrap the springs with wire wrap or vinyl tubing and reuse your old ones.
I got my KYB boots from TireRack. The part number for the front boot is SB103 and SB108 for the rear.
You can get strut bearings from an online discounted Nissan dealer (25% discount) and they'll be about $25 each.
