Fuel gauge not working (stuck on F)

I searched about 20 pages back and couldn't find anything similar to this. Just bought my new baby but her fuel gauge isn't working It's stuck on the 'F' position and isn't moving. It doesn't even move when the car is initially turned on. The RPM indicator, speed, and temp gauges all work great so I'm thinking it's not the fuse.

I tried tapping the panel to make sure it wasn't stuck but to no avail. I was told to check the fuses first but I can't find what fuse this would be under unless maybe it's listed under something odd like 'Elect parts'.

If it's not the fuse, any other recommendations on stuff I should check? I just bought this car and got to drive it for the first time after getting home from college for Thanksgiving break so I want to fix her up right!

I'm hoping it isn't something which would require dropping the fuel tank since I really wouldn't be able to do that myself, so any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Nope, no gauges installed. Just the standard SE gauges. I'm thinking of checking the ground connection in the back before work this morning just to eliminate that from the possible cause.
