Used Sea Foam today

Please explain how that would seize the engine.? It might do some other nasty things.
If you are going to PW another thread, at least think about it.

just saying if it went into the cam vent, wouldnt it cause problems, especially with getting into the valves, exhaust valves or anything. yea yea yea... i wont cause any trouble

If you somehow got the seafoam into the area under the cam cover, it would probably clean off the oil off the cam lobes and ruin them. Probably wouldn't seize the engine. Considering it's nowhere near the combustion chamber.

good to hear bro. i think the sea foam works to an extent, it cleans, but its not a noticeable change in anything else unless ur motor is REALLY nasty internally.

Okay, i should know what the TB looks like off of the top of my head, but i don't. I'm assumng that since a 93 has the VE and the 99 has that crazy VQ, that they aren't exactly the same. Hell, if you read the haynes manual for the VQ, the placement of the PCV valve is differnet between the 95 and 99 editions, so the thought that nissan would keep a hose in the same spot between the 93 and 99 is highly unlikely. Which, i'd like to add, if you happen to own a 95/96 and have the PCV valve in such an easily accessible spot, by all means take advantage of this, rather than wasting your time with hoses and such.

Anyway I got the SEA FOAM should I use the smallest hose that connects to the intake(mid pipe or whatever) or or the bigger hose on the same side of the mid-pipe. I know that sucks air like crazy so would that be a good choice?

both it says right on the can. I poured some into the oil too. You might want to get 2 cans. It says to use the whole can into the fuel tank and the intake manifold and oil will take another can.

What was that about? If the directions were VERY SPECIFIC people wouldn't ask? Our PCV is such a pita that we need to use something else. I used the bigger hose coming of the midpipe(IACV) to get it inside the engine. You could see the liquid get SUCKED straight in, looked like mist. Poured it very slowly and shut it off. A CEL came on, MAF sensor, 10 minutes later started the car. The motor wanted to die but a bit of throttle helped. There was some bluish smoke but it wasn't as much as I thought. Went on the street and went WOT, half way down the block I look back and see a cloud of smoke.

I got it at a small auto parts store not NAPA. The store is at 7108 W BELMONT. Yeah that's the hose I used, the IACV hose, but disconnect it from the intake not from the IACV like in the pic. With the hose still connected to the IACV plug the connection on the intake where it was connecyed and SLOWLY pour it into the hose. The fluid changes to MIST instantly. I have one suggestion to you, after you're done with the sea foam close the hose with your thumb to make the motor stop. If you go try to turn it off by turning the key, the fuel will be cut off but air will still be sucked in and this crazy knocking sound will start up. My friend was doing that to his car today and I thought it was gonna blow. SCARRY!!!!!!!!!!!
