When you send it into JWT, you can ask for a 7200 rpm redline. But I think you have to sign a release form for that.

I don't know about going through cattman, but I went through JWT and had to ask for the 7200. They don't make you sign off on anything because they are not responsible for something going wrong anyhow. Of course they advised against it but I insisted.

No. Your stock valve springs should hold up fine. Mine have.

It's more expensive to go through JWT.

Cattman does not know how long it will take, he is just guessing. JWT takes their time and they really don't car about deadlines. Being that peak race season is over, it make not take too long. It is well worth the wait though.

7200 does not cost any more.

I wonder if 7400rpm just in first would be too much? Ill be sending one soon to JWT . I want between 7300 to 7500 .

Two things. From what I know, anything above 7200 might be pushing the limits of the valve springs and you may get valve float. Too much valve float and good bye engine. Also, cartest done with the VI and raised rev limiter stop seeing gains above a 7200 rev limiter and the difference between the 7000 and 7200 is minimal. I just got the 7200 so I would not have to worry about hitting the fuel cut off. If you look at the dyno graph of a VI VQ30de power just levels off after 6K, it does not fall or rise. Now if you can figure out how to keep that HP curve rising then a 7500 rev limiter might do you good. Cams may do that for us but who really knows. If you could get your power to keep climbing after 6K and went with the a 7500 fuel cut off then you would definately have to get stronger valve springs. So unless you plan to do a little bit cam and valve spring work there is no need for anyting above a 7200 rev limiter
