Iridium Spark Plugs

Hi I was looking on the net and came across NGK IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS for 1997 maxima for $35.00. Anyone tried these plugs??? Are they better than Plats and Coppers? Any feedback would be great. Thanks

I asked NGK tech support about these....they will have a life between coppers and plats....perhaps 40K miles versus 25-30 for coppers adn the 60 for plats. There are also a coule of cheaperr plat grades that you can try too.

Thanks, but I already tried plats and did not notice any significant improvement in Mpg or Performance. I will still try these or the Denso.

Yeah, I like my Iridiums too. What are you talking about...Iridiums are guaranteed and supposed to last longer than plats!?

I noticed little to no increase in performance or mpg with the NGK Iridiums versus NGK Platinums or copper plugs. The Iridiums supposedly last longer than platinum and of course platinum lasts longer than copper....however the copper is said to produce a stronger spark. This is why most boosted guys go with the coppers. Not to mention they're a helluva lot cheaper than the latter. Plus the platinum's tip tends to flake under extreme cylinder temps (boosted guys)
